Welcome to Southborough High School
Our focus is on achievement and all pupils are encouraged to do their best and fulfil their own special potential.
Examination success is very important to us but we also value other achievements.
Participation in extra-curricular activities, successes in the workplace and ensuring positive contributions to community activities reflect some of the many dimensions of learning that are highly valued at Southborough High.
By working in partnership with parents, our well qualified staff and the school's governors aim to secure a successful future for all students based on a foundation of good examination performance and high levels of social responsibility.

Update on the schools Boiler Problems
During this weekend the installation of a temporary boiler was successfully completed and the school now can be heated, albeit to a temperature below our normal operating temperature. Parents will, I hope, agree with me that it is important to open the school even if we operate at slightly reduced temperatures.
The school will thus be opened as usual on Monday 8th February 2010 for all pupils.
Whilst the installation of this temporary boiler has resolved some immediate heating issues, parents should be aware that there are still some serious ongoing problems with the school’s heating system. The engineers estimate it may take several weeks to resolve the situation fully, as spare parts for the school’s aging boilers are not readily available. We are hoping that we can manage the repairs without being forced to close the school again. However there is a significant chance that this may not be realistic. Should we be forced to close then we shall inform parents via this web page and via our text messaging service.
Please accept my apologies, for any inconvenience and for the interrupted education to our students. I would just like to reassure all parents and students that we shall do our utmost to resolve matters swiftly.
Mr Chotai.

Before I came to the school I only really played football but since joining I've done skiing, water skiing and bastketball and loads of other sports. I love it.
