Student Leadership Team

Following a stringent application process which included an interview with Head of Sixth Form Mr Needs, Sixth Form Tutors and a whole school vote, the new Student Leadership Team for 2024/25 was announced early in June. And as they settled into their new roles, members of the team were expected to ‘hit the ground running’ when they found themselves taking on their first ‘official’ engagement -playing a key role in our Sixth Form Summer Open Evening event.

Head of Sixth Form Mr Needs commented: “The Sixth Form Team and I were incredibly impressed with the student applications this year - some of them producing ‘vote for me’ campaign-style videos to support their applications! - and having spoken in depth to each and every one of the successful candidates, we know that they will make an incredible team and work extremely hard over the next academic year.” “Each student was asked to present a ‘manifesto’ detailing their ideas - and they did not disappoint! Indeed, the process provided the ideal platform for the Sixth Form Team to listen closely to their views and opinions; student voice is incredibly important here at Southborough.”
