PTA Quiz & Family Fun Activity Evening a Great Hit!

Last Friday evening, members of our Parents & Teachers Association (PTA) pulled out all the stops to host a highly entertaining and very enjoyable Family Quiz fund-raising event for the school.

The PTA team had clearly spent a great deal of their own time planning and preparing for this event, as the attention to detail was faultless, right down to the varied challenges and activities and the hall decorations, bar and snacks on offer.                             

SHS parent Bob was the congenial host and quiz master for the night and the PTA team played the perfect hosts/hostesses, keeping score and encouraging guests to take advantage of the good beer, wine and snacks on offer throughout the night.
The quiz went down a storm and included a ‘heads and tails’ section for both gown ups and younger members of the audience to participate in.          
What really made the evening was the wonderful support of parents, carers, students and staff who gave up their time to spend an enjoyable Friday evening of fun, food and company. The event raised another £600 for the school fund and we have had confirmation that the new school minibus will be arriving in February!

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our Southborough Business Manager Mrs Bennett and PTA members for organising such an enjoyable event, especially the following parents: Rob and Vicky and Tricia.
